Hmm, what is about dolls? Some love them, others hate them...I love them! The odder the better...teeth always a bonus...who needs a Barbie!!

homemade bike paniers!

almost forgot about these...made from heavy calico, some left over furnishing fabric and an old tablecloth.
I didn't want to buy plastic for my bike (Barbara, since you asked...) so thought I must be able to work out how to make two bags that won't catch in the wheels...and here they are, happy little souls with a purpose; how many of us can say that?!! ;-)

little people...

I think their little leather shoes are amazing...I want some!!! This pair do make me smile, she looks so cross...and there he is bringing home the bananas like a good husband should...

I think it ought to be compulsory for clothes to look this happy;-)
...and I want his hat!!!!

burst of creativity!

For ages I've been telling myself to do some printing...and finally, a lino cut! Just like being back at school, although this time it's not a sunflower repeat to print on some cotton fabric..nothing so useful;-)

It's nice to have started...now I have to carry on...

peg dolls...

Who wouldn't love a doll made from something that could hold your pants to a washing line...;-)

new pots!

After two years...maybe three...languishing in a box on a wardrobe I've finally finished some pots!! I didn't want to glaze them this time because access to a kiln is limited and I wanted to see what else I could do. So, being a bit artsy fartsy I wanted to retain their 'integrity' as earthbound objects...hmmm...so chose to use pigments and beeswax polish and a little ink, and I think it worked;-) I did go a bit off message and use some 'treasure gold' which is really just wax coloured gold so not too bad. I like that effects can be achieved that would be difficult if not impossible with glazing (and too advanced for me!). To me these have a look of artefacts from some imaginary period when dinosaur eggs met Byzantine artisans...oh dear, all this polish must have gone to my head...anyway, here they are!
